What is Mindful Math Tutoring?
At Mindful Math Tutoring, your child will receive tutoring in both mathematics and in mindfulness.
95% math + 5% mindfulness = 100% successful
Becoming aware of the limiting beliefs one has about math, opens up the opportunity for a thought change to occur before the learning begins. Having the saying "I can do this" or "I will become good in math" running through a students' mind can increase ones ability to successfully learn and apply new concepts.
Research has shown (see "Proof" section below) that a great way to achieve scholastic success, is to pay attention to the present moment. That's what meditation does. Meditation teaches how to focus on the present, to be active and aware in your current surroundings, which is proven to increase learning and retention of new information.
During a session or course, learners will start and end class with a short meditation. This small investment of time (one to three minutes, depending on the individual), will provide a platform for heightened mathematical learning potential.
Proof
In math, there is a concept known as mathematical proof. This proof assures that the formula in question is valid beyond a shadow of doubt using theories and knowledge of the time. We wish the same for you when it comes to using meditation to become a better math student. Need proof? Read on!
